CHAPTER V

Note : Please read chapters I - IV present below for better understanding.

“Rithu do u like this place?”, asked Shesanth who is sitting next to me.

“Yes“, and I smiled to him.

He started to watch the show with this. There was no rays of light with the entire place yet the only light’s brightness was with the stage. I could see his face only through the light. Instead of enjoying the show, I was gazing Shesanth so deeply.

He was totally unaware that I am gazing him and he was so interested and concentrated with the flim.

“Can I ask you something ?”, I asked him.

“Yes rithu.”, he turned his gaze towards me.

Now I forgot what I was about to ask. He was looking into my eyes for me to say.

“I …”, I started with a break. He continued.

“I know what you must be thinking. You seem like to be lost in your thoughts. Correct ?”, he asked.

I now don’t know how to frame this and to ask him this question. Instead I just managed to ask him,“Is this real ?, I mean whatever happening is it real ?”.

“Yes”, he answered simply and resumed with show.

I turned to my other side. Some girl was sitting next to me. This time I could barely recognize that I had already known her. She was Shesanth’s friend. A scene of memory now flashing in my head at the same time a flash of light from the stage focusing on me. Suddenly I feel like I am at a place where there is just brightness. The scene was like, I was riding with shesanth and we reach out to a home. Every other of his friends was greeting me and this girl was one among them to receive us.

And then the light disappeared from me to revolve around the whole place. I was confused of why not I immediately recognize her. Even if my memory flashes that I know her, I find it hard to believe that I already had a conversation with her. And I still couldn’t believe how I agreed to ride with Sheshanth and another question immediately roze to my head was, when did it happen.

Now shesanth called my name, “Rithu are you okay ?”

“No sheshanth. I couldn’t remember anything.”, I told him.

“I understand. Don’t strain. Enjoy the show “, he said with care.

Few seconds before I had a feeling that I was all lost in my own memory. And without knowing not more than his name how I am sitting here with shesanth was still ringing into my head. But with his words, I just felt it to be real. I stopped questioning him. Unlike me he was so cool. And I am now trying to stop the feeling of afraidness but I couldn’t do so.

I again turned back to the girl and asked, “Do you know me?”.

“Yup”, she grinned.

“Oh, sorry I couldn’t recognize you”, I said.

“Ha. It happens.”, she told.

Before I ask her next question she was indulged with the show. I became restless now. I nudged Shesanth and he turned.

“I want to talk to you“, I whispered so that no one gets disturbed.

“Now ?”, he mouthed.

I nodded my head. And we started to walk outside.In the darkness I was about to fall to the ground without grip while walking.

And I fell to ground. My right knee was aching heavily now. Instead hearing Shesanth’s voice I was now hearing beep beep beep beep.. sound. I assumed I was admitted into hospital.

Beep… Beep… Beep…
“Arey…Rithania get up what are you doing ?”, I opened my eyes over Sonia’s voice.

“Where is he?” , I asked Sonia.

“Who ??”, she interrogated me again.

I was idle.

“Ohooo, You dreamt about your princess then. Hahaha come Rithania the day has started and you should wake up from the dream. Come on get ready.“, she mocked at me.

“No. It wasn’t a dream. It was real. I felt it. I felt as if…”, I was struck with words now.

“As if what my dear ?“, she again said with a mocking tone.

I never wanted to share with her anything more. So I said, “FORGET IT .!”

I was inside office premises and started up with my regular tasks and meeting. Meanwhile I was thinking about how my dream was so vivid as if it was real. I haven’t met Shesanth in person till now, but how come in my dream I was sitting next to him and felt comfortable with him. And who was girl I communicated with. Even though it was a dream, why is that I felt as if I had some memory loss or amnesia kind of thing. So for the entire day I was disturbed with this thoughts.

My friend come TL caught me in mid and asked, “Hey you okay Rithania ? You seemed distracted. What’s going on ?”.

“Nothing Anu. I haven’t slept well yesterday that’s it.“, I lied her.

“I could sense you to be absent minded. Have some break and resume. If u continue with this distraction, it will not help darling“, she advised politely.

“Yeah , I’ll be back“, I assured her and left my cabin. By now my head was aching so much. Anu was correct. I should have a coffee break now.

I went to the coffee shop, ordered my favourite Espressos coffee and settled into a chair.

I closed my face with palm and was rewinding the dream, to find any clue what it is supposed to mean. I failed for one another time.

“Mam Your coffee”, came the voice.

“Thanks !“, I removed my hands to see. It was Shesanth standing infront of me.

“You ? here !”, I asked.

“Yeah why not “, he said mockingly and seated opposite to me.

“You didn’t came yesterday ?”, he asked.

In our last meeting we planned to meet again here yesterday. I entirely forgot it in getting my flat arranged. I had never bothered to apologize to him, instead I provoked his anger side with my question I thought. Even before I wanted to apologize, he started.

“I am extremely sorry Rithu. I caught up with a work yesterday, so couldn’t make it. You might have been waiting for me so long. I wasted your time. Extremely sorry.” he made a puppy face with his.

I was laughing at his puppy face. He was confused and asked, “WHAT ? what is there to laugh ?”

“Actually I also couldn’t make yesterday.”, I confined to him.

“Oh Man..“, he said with a sweet laugh.

“How come you are here now ?”,he asked.

“I came for a break. A coffee break“, I told him.

“Can I join Ms.Rithu !” he asked and ordered himself a Espressos too.
